Md. Masiat Roushan Masrafee

Masiat Roushan Masrafee is currently pursuing his Master's degree in Biosystems Engineering at Mississippi State University. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Engineering from the Military Institute of Science & Technology, Bangladesh.
He was a faculty member in the Department of Aeronautical Engineering of MIST from 2019 till he joined Dr. Hussein Gharakhani's lab. He has instructed courses like engineering drawing, electrical circuit analysis, and aircraft instrumentation. He regularly led workshops on programming, basic robotics, and building quadcopters. Under his supervision, student teams at MIST have won numerous national and international competitions. He was also featured in Bangladesh's national newspaper for winning the national robotics competition "Robolution".
Masrafee’s research interest lies in Robotics and Automation. He has developed Quadcopters for Automated Pesticide Spraying utilizing GPS Mapping, PID Controlled Line Follower Robot (LFR), a 3D Printer for Biobased Tissue Printing, fixed-wing and rotary-wing UAVs, and home automation.
