Heston Vaughan

Undergraduate Researcher

Heston Vaughan is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Software Engineering at Mississippi State University, with a minor in Mathematics. He is actively engaged in a project for the USDA focused on oat leaf disease detection and segmentation. His responsibilities in this project include researching and selecting appropriate models for training, labeling data, and developing the training pipeline.
Previously, Heston worked as a research assistant at Raspet Flight Research Laboratory, where he was responsible for developing a flight simulator using Unreal Engine 5 for use in minimum UI requirements research.
