Ammar Hadwan

MSc Student

Ammar Hadwan is a graduate research assistant at (ARM in FARM) Laboratory, pursuing a master's degree in Biosystems Engineering and working on a sweet potato robotic harvesting project.
He earned his bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering from the University of Technology Malaysia, where he participated in various robotics, embedded systems, IoT, and AI projects, winning multiple medals in national competitions and school capstones. His final-year project involved developing a propeller-based wheeled climbing mobile robot.
Since 2020, Ammar has been involved in smart agriculture and precision agriculture projects, starting with an internship at UTM's mobile robotics lab. He has worked on several projects and published a paper on a deep learning-guided variable rate robotic sprayer prototype in a smart agriculture journal.
Ammar also gained industrial experience at Enigma for Technical Solutions Sdn Bhd, working on shipbuilding and ship repair projects, and later as an electronic and systems engineer at The Yemen Hatchery, focusing on HVAC systems. He has practical and soft skills, including teamwork, communication, and fast learning, and he is experienced in C, C++, and Python programming languages. He is also proficient in CAD, especially SolidWorks Software
